Meet Dr Sally Turner (CPsychol, MSc)

Sally is a chartered counselling and occupational psychologist (registered with the BPS and HCPC).  Her clinical experience while working within a range of adult mental health services includes support with relational trauma and relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, grief, identity crises, sexual and emotional abuse, dissociation, stress and burnout, amongst many others.

Sally has over twelve years of experience in the field of organisational consulting, providing both private and public sector organisations with bespoke, evidence-based solutions to organisational problems.   She combines her unique expertise in occupational psychology and counselling psychology to understand difficulties in the workplace, whether these are at the level of the individual, team, or organisation.

Sally has completed a doctoral training in Counselling Psychology, with City, University of London.  Her final portfolio included an original, mixed-methods research study, which explored the differentiating triggers of emotion dysregulation amongst people assigned female at birth diagnosed with autism and/or borderline personality disorder, for the purposes of addressing the under-identification of autism amongst women.  Sally has a professional interest in this area, which developed over recent years while assessing and diagnosing adults for neurodiverse conditions.

 

Sally's research has been presented at international conferences and published in academic journals.  â€‹â€‹â€‹Some of the findings from her most recent research are due to be published shortly.
